Sophie has been working in the Hair and Beauty Sector for over 15 years. Having started her career completing an Advanced Apprenticeship in Beauty Therapy. Sophie quickly progressed within her roles and identified that she had a passion for teaching. This led to her completing a Certificate in Education at Huddersfield University & Assessors Award.

Sophie’s teaching career has seen her working within various sectors; NEET, Private and FE. Her most recent role, held for 7 years, at a local FE college. Here she held the position of course lead for level 1, 2 & 4 Beauty Therapy, alongside supporting the department as lead IQA.

As part of her role’s Sophie explored the suite of level 4 qualifications, undertaking training in Laser & Light Therapy, Microblading, Skin Needling, Skin Peeling & Dermaplaning. This enabled her to implement the relevant Higher Level Beauty qualifications into the curriculum within both the private and FE centres she was associated with.

In more recent years, Sophie has been supporting private training providers, alongside her full time role at the college. Providing guidance through centre approvals, arranging and sourcing funding and implementing internal quality assurance policies and procedures. She further supported centres in the selection and implementation of the qualifications that met the centre’s demographical needs and business objectives.

Sophie is Key Account Manager for the North of England supporting centres with all aspects of implementing the curriculum, in order for them to grow and for the students to reach their chosen destinations.
