Dan Rix is co-owner of the The Company Of Master Barbers & The Master Barber’s Shop based in Southport, Merseyside. Their barbering business has won various awards at a national level and on three occasions won the Best UK Male Grooming Business with both the National Hairdresser’s Federation and Hairdressers Journal. We have a large busy barbershop, Gentleman’s Emporium and Academy, we cater for both services, retail and training.

After 20+ years of working in the television as a cameraman, Dan decided upon a career change and re-located to join his father in his business and became a partner, taking the difficult decision to retrain mid-thirties as a Barber. Before completing his education he did his first photo-shoot which published in various magazines and landed 2nd place in a national Industry competition.

Dan’s career has taken him from day to day barbering to working exhibition stages in the UK & Dubai, whether showcasing the team or judging at shows for The Fellowship Of British Hairdressing, National Hairdressers Federation, British Barbers Association, Hairdressers Journal and Modern Barber Magazine. The highlight of his career has to be working as part of the UK art team at the Revlon Stylemasters show in Paris.’
