Becoming a VTCT-approved centre is a smooth and straightforward process

VTCT are the UK’s market-leading specialist vocational and technical Awarding Organisation (AO) and End-Point Assessment Organisation (EPAO) for the personal services and well-being sector. We proudly offer a broad range of qualifications under three brands, VTCT, iTEC, and Skillsfirst.

We currently support over 3,000 training locations and welcome 100,000 learners and apprentices every year.

We carry out ongoing consultations with industry and education experts to ensure our qualifications continue to be industry relevant. We work with leading figures in a range of industries such as the National Hair and Beauty Federation (NHBF), Federation of Holistic Therapists (FHT) and the Chartered Institute for the Management of Sport and Physical Activity (CIMSPA).

We work closely with statutory and voluntary regulators, trade bodies, and professional associations, including Ofqual, IfATE, and the DfE.

We have developed a library of resources for our centres which can support teaching, assessment and learning.

Skillsfirst offers a range of qualifications with expertise in early years, business, health & social care, and Functional Skills.

How much does it cost to be an approved centre?

Applications are charged in accordance with VTCT’s published Price books.

After approval, centres will pay for learner registrations and other products or services from VTCT.

Our VTCT Centre Qualifications Requirements document highlights the resource requirements we require you to have before becoming a registered VTCT training provider.

Please ensure you have also read and understand the VTCT Centre Agreement. This Agreement sets out the terms and conditions subject to which VTCT issues approvals to approved centres.
