This opportunity to help someone discover their passions and pursue the career of their dreams through an apprenticeship is priceless.
VTCT offers a range of Apprenticeship Standards covering Hairdressing & Barbering, Nail & Beauty Therapies, and Wellbeing & Holistic Therapy.
Apprenticeships are structured differently within each country in the UK. On this page, you will primarily find information on the apprenticeships supported and assessed through VTCT in England. In addition, you will also find links to resources for providers for each nation.
The Apprenticeship Standard aims to develop the professional knowledge, skills and behaviour required for a specific job role. This method of teaching and learning also incorporates on-the-job and off-the-job training and may involve a qualification.
Successful apprenticeships are based on the key relationships between the apprentice, the employer and the training provider. It takes a consistent and dedicated effort on the part of all three groups to reach the successful completion of an apprenticeship - see roles and responsibilities below. As the employer, you will benefit from your interactions with your dedicated and hard-working apprentice. They will offer you a new perspective and an enthusiastic energy for the work you will do together. You will be able to influence a member of the next generation of the workforce, showing them how to develop the ideal work ethic you will want to hire in the future.
Find out more below about the three stages of the Professional Apprenticeship Standards which are known as 1) On-Programme, 2) Gateway and 3) End-point Assessment.
