VTCT offer a range of qualifications in Hospitality & Catering. A career in this industry can be one of the most varied where many skills can be learned, but today we’re looking more closely at a particular role as a Restaurant Supervisor.
To begin a career in this field, you’ll need to complete a level 1 Diploma in Vocational Studies – Hospitality and Catering, which will give you a broad understanding of the industry and what is required. After that, you’ll move to a Level 2 to develop the skills and knowledge to maintain a safe, hygienic and secure working environment, work effectively with others as part of a hospitality team and give customers a positive impression of yourself and your organisation. Level 3 qualifications follow on from this, providing you with all the required knowledge and skills to lead a team and supervise operations in the restaurant industry.
