iTEC & VTCT training provider, the London School of Massage, recently celebrated success at The National Massage Championship 2019, held at the Olympia Beauty Show.
This was the second year the Championship, which is the UK’s only massage competition of its kind, has taken place. The Championship welcomes qualified massage therapists and bodyworkers from across the UK to compete, providing a fantastic opportunity for therapists to showcase a wide range of skills and techniques.
This year’s event saw over 90 competition seats hosted across six categories: Spa/Wellness, Chair, Eastern, Swedish/Deep Tissue, Advanced and Freestyle.
Students from the London School of Massage saw outstanding success, claiming the below awards:
• 1st in Freestyle – Tamer Morsy (four hand performance) with Monica Paslaru
• 1st in Chair Massage – Cristian Sirbu
• 3rd in Chair Massage – Una Tucker
• 2nd in Advanced Massage – Tamer Morsy
Bhavesh T. Joshi BSc. Ost Dip. TCM Acup. Ayurveda (Dip), NLP, Director of the London School of Massage and a member of the judging panel for the Championship commented: “The National Massage Championships is a growing event and has really created a buzz for Massage Therapists from all disciplines and schools. It has allowed competition, collaboration and comradeship to flourish amongst the profession as well as allowing practitioners to showcase their skills. The London School is really proud to have had 3 practitioners who won 4 awards this year. It is really a great credit to our students as well as lecturers who have put all the hard work in.”
