VTCT is a charitable organisation and its main activity as an awarding body is also its first charitable objective; to develop and provide high quality education and qualifications in the field of health and beauty and related disciplines.
VTCT announces the creation of The VTCT Foundation
The trustees of VTCT are delighted to announce the creation of a new charitable foundation to enhance the opportunity to pursue charitable activities both in the field of disfigurement and education.
The new body will be endowed by VTCT using funds from reserves and will allow a wide range of grant making activities. The foundation expects to commence work by mid 2015, after a detailed examination of the current needs in these fields so as to focus its activity effectively to achieve maximum impact.
The initial trustees of The VTCT Foundation will be Brian Boyce and Rosanna Preston, both who have served previously as trustees of VTCT. Keilah Towers, through Accounting for Charities Ltd., will be the Company Secretary to the Foundation.
The development of The VTCT Foundation as a separate organisation will allow VTCT, as an educational awarding organisation, to concentrate its efforts on the development of its qualifications and enhancing its position in the vocational awarding market. VTCT will continue to also fund promotional initiatives such as the WorldSkills UK Beauty Therapy competitions which are directly related to achievement of its objectives.
